Property Maintenance Officer/Zoning Assistant

The Village administrative office currently handles the duties of the Property Maintenance Officer/Zoning Assistant.  These duties include keeping track of high weeds, uncut grass, reporting junk vehicles to the police department, improper storage of materials, and other public nuisances.

The duties also include investigating complaints and requests from the citizens at large, such as construction sites without visible Building Permits or safety issues such as pools without proper fencing.

Another part of the job is the enforcement of sections of the existing zoning ordinance that do not allow signs in the public right of ways. Generally, these will be removed and returned to the owner, if they contain an address or a candidate name.
