AMP Inc is an organization of Public Power communities throughout Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky, who like us, believe ownership of the local electric utility increases reliability and offers improved customer service. 

The Carey Cannon
A refurbished 1862 Civil War cannon (technically a 3" ordnance rifle) is a proud asset of our community. This cannon is an original weapon from the Civil War era, which stood idle in one of our parks until we were approached by a committed group of living history buffs, who inspired the project.

The gun routinely appears in re-enactments and historical presentations, both around this area and at some of the national battlefields.

Some of the current programs include: computer and electronics recycling, household hazardous waste collection, used tire disposal, appliance recycling, freon recovery, mercury thermometer disposal, recycling education, as well as the normal recycling "drop off" facilities.
