A. The primary function of the Committee shall be advisory in nature. It shall make its recommendations to Council, but shall have no authority without Council approval.
B. To submit an annual plan to council setting forth desirable standards and goals for the improved appearance of the B-I zoning district and John Carey Park. Approval for regular expenditures can be handled by administration within the limits of council approved appropriations.
C. If plans are subsequently approved and/or adopted by council, to seek voluntary adherence to the standards and policies of its plans.
D. To promote and assist in the implementation of approved programs of beautification in the Village.
E. To conduct public meetings, giving reasonable notice to the public thereof.
F. To direct the attention of the Village officials to needed enforcement of any ordinance or law that may affect the appearance of the B-I zoning district and John Carey Park.
G. To participate in any way deemed appropriate by the Village Council, including an expansion of location.
